WrestleMania® generates $206 million for the Dallas/Arlington area
STAMFORD, Connecticut, July 11, 2022–(BUSINESS WIRE)–WWE® (NYSE: WWE) Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson and Arlington Mayor Jim Ross announced today that WrestleMania generated $206.5 million in economic impact for the Dallas/Arlington area last April, according to a study conducted by Enigma Research Corporation. This is a new record for the company and the first time in history that WrestleMania generated more than $200 million in economic spinoffs.

Over the past 12 years, WrestleMania generated more than a billion dollars in cumulative economic benefits for the cities that hosted the event. WrestleMania also generated approximately $24.8 million in federal, state and local taxes.

A crowd of 156,352 fans from all 50 states and 53 countries attended WWE’s pop culture extravaganza over two nights last April, making it WWE’s highest-grossing and highest-attended event. history of WWE. Key highlights of the study include:

$206.5 million in direct, indirect and induced impacts from Dallas/Arlington area visitor spending for WrestleMania.

67% of fans present WrestleMania were from outside the Dallas/Arlington area and stayed an average of 3.5 nights.

$25.4 million was spent on hotels and lodging in the Dallas/Arlington area.

The economic impact arising from WrestleMania The week was equal to the creation of 1,777 full-time jobs for the region.
Next year, WrestleMania will take place on Saturday April 1 and Sunday April 2 live from SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. The event will be broadcast live exclusively on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network everywhere else. Ticket information will be forthcoming.
