Best movies coming to HBO Max in September 2022
The list of what’s to come HBO Max this September is finally out, bringing with it a wide range of movies old and new. From movies old enough to still be shot in black and white to movies released just this year, there’s plenty of new content to sort through.
There is only one new original movie premiere scheduled for this month so far, the documentary Escape Kabul. HBO seems most interested in its TV shows in September as we move forward into the fall lineup, when many of our favorite TV shows are set to return for their next seasons on all popular platforms. The new documentary Escape Kabul is around a time in August 2021 when the United States evacuated its military from Afghanistan and ended a nearly two-decade war. Escape Kabul was filmed during this withdrawal, capturing the ins and outs of everything that happened.
Marines were sent to evacuate all American citizens there, as well as some Afghans who had assisted Allied forces while there. They were first given at the end of the month, but when the Taliban invaded the city that week, thousands more Afghans rushed to the airport to seek escape as they feared what would happen next. Combining footage from the evacuations with exclusive interviews with refugees, Marines and even Taliban fighters, this heartbreaking documentary is not something you won’t want to miss.
Time travelling machine
The title doesn’t lie: Time travelling machine revolves around a time-travelling hot tub. A group of friends (a hilarious cast including the great John Cusack, Craig Robinson, Rob Corddry and Clark Duke) who are upset about their current lives reconnect when one of them, Lou, is hospitalized with monoxide poisoning. of carbon. band slam is about a group of high school friends forming a band together. Will moved to a new school after his mother found a new job, and he hopes to have a better experience here than at his previous school. He has a love of music which helps him make a few friends and then he learns about the bands next battle, Bandslam. The winning band gets a recording contract. Excited, Will is ready to form a rock band with his friends, but as their own feelings begin to get in the way as a romantic interest begins to blossom.
The drama ghost dancer is about Collette, a member of the Irish Republican Army, who is caught up in a failed bombing in London. She has a choice: lose her young son as she spends the next 25 years in prison, or agree to become an MI5 spy. She takes the latter and starts giving information to MI5 so she can stay with her family.
Things start to go awry when it is revealed that Collette is being used as a cover to hide another MI5 mole, and a member of the military becomes suspicious of the presence of a mole in Collette’s family. With Collette’s life now in immediate danger, things begin to change and she must find a way to survive. The wonderful cast of ghost dancerwhose charming Clive Owen, Andrea Riseborough, Gillian Anderson and Aidan Gillen, help sell this extremely tense drama.

In the background is about a distraught woman, Katja, whose husband and son were killed by a nail bomb. The apocalyptic drama Melancholy is a dark art film about depression directed by the controversial Lars Von Trier that follows two sisters on the eve of the destruction of the Earth. The first sister, Justine, is about to be married, having their reception on the grounds of the castle owned by her sister Claire and her husband. Although the event looks promising, things are turning south rather quickly. Justine’s divorced parents verbally abuse each other all the time, and Justine’s job has promoted her, expecting her to work while she’s at the celebration.
In the end, she ends up quitting her job and calling off her wedding, instead falling into depression. Claire lets her stay in their domain in an attempt to help her, but news of a planet approaching from behind the sun changes things. Claire is afraid of the possible end of the world, but Justine welcomes her, and together they mend their previously strained relationship and watch the world begin to crumble around them in this masterpiece with a hugely impressive cast. — Kirsten Dunst, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Alexander and Stellan Skarsgard, Kiefer Sutherland, Udo Kier and John Hurt.
My week with Marilyn
Based on two books written by Colin Clark, My week with Marilyn relates to the filming of The Prince and the Showgirl, during which Clark had escorted her around London. Despite being told by the production manager that there were no more jobs, Clark waits for Oliver and manages to get a job on The Prince and the Showgirl.

Elvis is a new biographical film about the titular rock and roll icon. From the early years of his life and his fascination with comics and music, Elvis soon met his manager, Colonel Tom Parker, at a performance of Louisiana Hayride.
