Nothing less than openness is expected of Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi when he speaks. Warsi was recently spotted in Bangalore, where he plans to open a cafe. During a press conference, he was asked about his latest film, “Bachchhan Paandey”, with actor Akshay Kumar. Within a week, the film failed to reach the Rs 50 crore mark.

According to a report by the Indian Express, when the reporter called the film’s box office performance a “success”. Warsi laughed and said, “Don’t lie, it’s not a hit.” He then added: “It was a good movie, but unfortunately it happened, some things work, some don’t. I feel like he just went through a bad patch, there are several things that made him less successful than he should have been. It’s a big movie, it should have made a lot more money, but it’s still not a loss, it covered its money.

When asked if the film’s underperformance was due to the boom in OTT releases, Warsi replied, “No, I don’t think it’s the OTT effect. Alright, I have an answer to that, but I’m not going to say it. Let’s not go inside, it’s a different space.

In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Akshay Kumar confessed that “Bachchhan Paandey’s box office performance was affected by the continued success of ‘The Kashmir Files.’ to tell you that I am thrilled with the success that The Kashmir Files has had it tells you the power of cinema and that there is no formula of starting budgets and movies in a certain way that guarantee success It proves that the audience is who we make our films for and when they swallow something it flies Yeah I wish Bachchhan Paandey was better than what he does but not once did I blame it on Kashmir records. This movie is a storm and we fell in the eye of this one.

Warsi also talked about the upcoming season of his streaming show “Asur.” He said, “Asur is coming out now, in June or July. I find Asur 2 more exciting and thrilling than Asur 1. When people loved season 1, they will love season 2, which means season 3 could also happen.
