The information we need to be able to assess your application

Every personal situation is different; that is why the bank does not assess any loan application the same. Depending on your personal situation, we need specific documents and information sources to be able to assess your application.

Married or living together

Are you married or do you live together? Then the bank wants you to take out financing together. This gives the bank more security, because then two persons are liable for the loan. You must therefore both agree to the financing and both sign the quotation.

The advantage of this joint approach is that if, for example, you have two incomes, your so-called profile scores better. The loan is calculated on the basis of two incomes. This can make the interest rate even cheaper!

There are exceptional situations where you take out the financing without your partner having to sign. This only applies if you are married under a prenuptial agreement. You are also not allowed to have any other joint financial obligations, such as buying a home.

Are you unsure whether you can apply alone? Just give us a call; often a phone call immediately provides the necessary information.

  • ID
    • Both front and back
  • (Digital) bank statement of 4 weeks
    • Consecutive and without strikethroughs and / or selections
    • Crediting income and depreciation living expenses must be visible on this
    • Partner salary deposit to another account number? Then please provide a (digital) bank statement of at least 2 weeks
  • Payslip
    • Maximum 2 months old, unless otherwise requested

Partner's wages are paid into another account

  • Does your partner have income from employment or benefits, but is this paid into an account number other than yours as the main applicant? In that case, we also need a (digital) bank statement, of 2 consecutive weeks.

Single

If you are single, you apply for a loan for yourself. Only you then have to sign the bank's quotation. Because only you are liable for the loan, the bank may consider the risk greater than if you are married or living together. Of course, this does not mean that you cannot get a loan; even if you are single, there are good options.

The bank looks at your current income, housing costs and your experience with financing in the past. The latter is called loan experience. The possibility of overdrafting and a credit card are also borrowing experiences. Have you fulfilled financial obligations in the past? Then you also have a good loan experience!

We need a number of documents for the payment of your file:

  • ID
    • Both front and back
  • (Digital) bank statement of 4 weeks
    • Consecutive and without strikethroughs and / or selections
    • Crediting income and depreciation living expenses must be visible on this
  • Payslip
    • Maximum 2 months old, unless otherwise requested

In divorce / divorced

Are you involved in a divorce and do you want to complete financial matters? Then we can calculate what your options are after the divorce has been finalized. (Actually taking out a loan is not yet possible during a divorce.)

Has the divorce been definitively pronounced by a judge, but do you still have a joint home? In principle, there are only options if the financing is used for the residual debt of that home.

Are you divorced and do you not have an owner-occupied home with your ex-partner? Then we can discuss the options for a loan with you.

Divorced and alimony

  • Are you (or is your partner) divorced less than five years ago? Then we need a divorce agreement. If a parenting plan has been drawn up with regard to the children, then we also need a copy of it.

Acquisition of the current loan (s)

Do we take over one or more current loans? Then we must demonstrate what the balance is. If your current loan is a revolving credit, we need a monthly overview. You will receive this monthly from your current bank.

Do you have a personal loan? Then you can ask for a redemption balance at your current bank. You will receive this by e-mail or by post.

At some banks (for example LPN, Rabobank, ABN Amro and Santander) you can also view the redemption balance online. Then make a print screen / screenshot of this web page.

Income from disability benefits

Do you (or does your partner) have income from disability benefit? Then you will not receive a monthly pay slip, unless your salary has been changed. You will, however, receive a monthly statement at least once a year. We need this, as well as a copy of the allocation decision. See uwv.nl for more information.

Income from a pension

Do you (or does your partner) have income from a pension (and AOW)? Then you will not receive a monthly pay slip. Usually you will receive a monthly statement once every year. We would like to receive this monthly overview of every income that is deposited. Don't have this? Then please get the annual statement, which you will receive annually at the beginning of the year. See svb.nl for more information.

Non-American nationality (European)

Do you live in the Boston and do you not have the American nationality? Is your country of origin (or that of your partner) within Europe? Then we need a number of additional documents from you:

  • Country of origin passport
    • Both front and back
  • American driver's license
    • Both front and back
    • Do you not have a American driving license? Then please get a copy of your health insurance, both the front and back

Do you live in the Boston and do you (or does your partner) not have the American nationality? Then we must provide a number of additional documents:

  • Country of origin passport
    • Both front and back
  • American driver's license
    • Both front and back
    • Do you not have a American driving license? Then please get a copy of your health insurance, both the front and back
  • Residence permit
    • Both front and rear
